Early in the morning we make our way into the Knuckles Mountain Range. Past tea fields we pass the last small village before we enter the cloud forest. The vegetation changes abruptly and far and wide you only see green. Unusual looking trees, ferns and moss, bamboo and in between cardamon plants.

We can already spot the Pygmy Cloud Forest with its red canopy in the distance. A sight as if spring and autumn meet. Rich green mixed with red. Colorful birds and butterflies accompany us during our safari through the Cloudforest. Purple Face Leaf Monkeys can be heard from far and there is a Giant Tree Squirrel sitting on the branch. The vegetation is dense and yet you can see here and there the inhabitants of this unique habitat. We reach Corbets Gab and stop for a break and enjoy the view of the surrounding mountains.

From here we continue down into the valley. Here and there are small houses along the way. Not a bad place to call home. The thicket breaks often inbetween and you can see the beautiful area surrounding us before the curtain of leaves and trees closes again.

We stop and you can already hear the water. A small descent and there is already our destination. A river or a waterfall, can not exactly be described as one waterfall after the other pours into the next one. Large granite stones form platforms that invite us to take a seat and make ourselves comfortable. Time to relax and hop in our swimming  suits. Small pools invite you to swim. While you enjoy the cool wet, we prepare a small brunch for you.

After spending a sufficient amount of time at the water, we start slowly our way back. Again through the cloudforest. Meanwhile, it has become a little later and the sun is not as strong anymore. We are curious what the way back holds for us.
